The PCYS Classic soccer year spans from August 1, to July 31, and is divided into Fall and Spring seasons. Registration opens from mid June to early July and covers both seasons.

Elevate Your Game with PCYS Classic Soccer

Welcome to the PCYS Classic/Select Soccer Program! Designed for young athletes seeking competitive play and skill development, this year-round program runs from August 1 to July 31, offering an exciting mix of league games, tournaments, and community events. With separate Fall and Spring seasons, players have the opportunity to grow their abilities, build teamwork, and compete at a high level in Central Wisconsin and beyond. Whether you're returning to the field or joining us for the first time, PCYS provides a supportive and dynamic soccer environment for players and families alike.

PCYS Classic League Players

Season Details


Fall Season (Mid-August to Late October)

  • Focus: Tournament-based play.
  • Included in Fees: 2 Fall tournaments + PCYS home tournament.
  • Additional Tournaments: Coach-selected, with separate costs.
  • Schedule: Teams usually attend 4-5 tournaments, including PCYS events.

Spring Season (Mid-May to Mid-July)

  • Focus: League play + tournaments.
  • League Games: 10 games in the Central Wisconsin Soccer League (CWSL).
  • Tournaments: 2 WYSA-sanctioned events + PCYS tournaments in June.
  • Schedule: Games twice a week, with travel to nearby towns (e.g., Marshfield, Waupaca).


Registration Details


Fall Registration

  • Status: Spring 2025 registration is closed.
  • Details: Covers both Fall and Spring seasons; no Fall-only option.


Spring Registration

  • Opens late June to early August.
  • For Spring-only players, a brief window reopens in early November.
  • Note: Early registration ensures roster placement.


Costs


Player Fees

  • U11–U18: $350
  • U10 and Under: $300
  • Covers 2 Fall tournaments and PCYS events.

Family Fee

  • $100 per family (included in registration, charged once).

Uniforms

  • All players require a new uniform for the 2024-2025 season.
  • Cost: $110–$130 for basic kits, assigned after team formation.

  • Full payment via credit card/eCheck.
  • Installment options are available.


Volunteer Requirements


Families must contribute to program success through volunteering:

  • Home Tournaments: 4 hours per tournament (Fall & Spring).
  • Non-Tournament Tasks: 4 hours logged via Playmetrics system.
  • Non-Compliance Fee: $200 fee if hours aren’t met (player cards withheld until resolved).


Financial Assistance


  • Available: First-come, first-served; excludes uniform costs.
  • Apply: Email registrar@pcys.net with the requested amount, reason, player name, and birth year.

Uniform Kit Details

Classic Uniform Kits are designed to last two years, with the current kit being used from Fall 2024 through Spring 2026. All players are required to wear this uniform kit for the upcoming season. Previous kits are not permitted. To avoid the need for reordering, please consider the two-year duration when selecting sizes. 


Uniform Ordering Details

Ordering Window: Friday, March 28th – Friday, April 4th


Deadline:  Orders placed after April 4th will incur higher pricing due to individual processing. (See Stefans Soccer FAQs for more information.) It is critical to place your order during this time to ensure your player has their uniform ready for the first tournament. 


New Players: Action Required

If your player is new to PCYS, you will receive an email to select a jersey number. Please respond promptly so we can finalize all player numbers before they are entered into the Stefans Soccer system. 


Ordering Process

Before the ordering window opens: 

  • Your player will be added to the Stefans system. 
  • You will receive an email directly from Stefans with a link and instructions for ordering. 
  • If you don’t see the email, check your spam/junk folder or contact Neil Peterson (neil.peterson@pcys.net) to resend it. 


When logging into the Stefans system: 

  • Verify your player’s information (name, number, etc.). 
  • Report any errors to Neil immediately so they can be corrected before you place your order. 


Uniform Try-On Event

To ensure accurate sizing, Stefans provides a size chart on their website. Additionally, we will host a Uniform Try-On Event before the ordering window opens. Details about this event will be emailed. 

The required uniform kit includes: 

  • Red jersey
  • Black jersey 
  • Black shorts
  • Black socks
  • Reversible pinnie


Additional items like jackets, pants, and backpacks can also be purchased during the ordering process.
