Become a Coach with PCYS!

Are you passionate about soccer and eager to make a positive impact on young athletes? Coaching with PCYS is a rewarding opportunity to shape the future of our players. As a coach, you will inspire and guide our youth, setting an example of sportsmanship and dedication.

Here’s what we look for in our coaches.

  • Be a Role Model: Your behavior sets the tone for players and spectators. Focus on enjoyment, skill development, and good sportsmanship rather than just winning.
  • Follow Guidelines: Participate in post-game handshakes with opponents and referees. Attend referee clinics to deepen your understanding of the game. Avoid negative comments and yelling from the sidelines.
  • Get Certified: Obtain and carry your state-issued coach pass card through the Kid-Safe Coach Registration Process, part of our Risk Management Program.
  • Communicate Openly: Keep clear communication with players and parents about team goals and expectations.
  • Respect Officials: Show respect for referees and uphold their authority during games.
  • Understand the Rules: Know and enforce the rules of the game..
  • Maintain a Positive Environment: Encourage players, avoid criticism, and ensure a sports environment free from abuse, drugs, alcohol, and tobacco.
