Looking for a fun and inclusive soccer program for kids in Central Wisconsin? The PCYS Recreational Soccer League is perfect for players of all skill levels who want to learn, play, and enjoy the game of soccer in a relaxed, non-competitive environment. Our recreational league runs seasonally in the Fall and Summer, offering a mix of age-appropriate practices and games that focus on skill development, teamwork, and fun.


Whether your child is new to soccer or returning for another season, this program is designed to help them build confidence, make friends, and develop a love for the sport. Affordable and family-friendly, the PCYS Recreational Soccer League is proud to provide an enjoyable soccer experience for kids and families in Central Wisconsin communities like Plover, Stevens Point, and beyond.

Key Details


Affordable and Family-Friendly:

  • June 23-August 11, 2026
  • Family Club Fee: $50 per family (used for field maintenance).
  • Player Fees:
  • Pre-K (2022 birth year): $40
  • All other players: $70
  • Coaches receive a waiver of $50 off their player fee as a thank-you for volunteering (one waiver only).


Age Groups/Divisions:

  • Players are divided by birth year, with divisions ranging from U4/Pre-K (2022 birth year) to U14+ (2008–2012 birth years, must be entering 12th grade or younger). Girls ages 7+ can request placement on girls-only teams if enough players register.


No Tryouts, Equal Play:

  • Every player is guaranteed equal playing time, with no tryouts required. Teams are randomly assigned, and teammate requests are available (one per player, within the same division).


Schedule:

  • Summer Session: Tuesday and Thursday evenings for 2022-2013 birth year players (U4-U13 divisions); Monday and Wednesday for 2008 (entering 12th grade)-2012 birth year players (U14+ division).
  • U10+ divisions practice 15 minutes before scheduled games; U8 and younger combine practice and short scrimmages.
  • Players may have games assigned any time between 5:15pm and 8:15pm (this will vary each session; we aim to minimize late games for our youngest players when possible)
  • Games are held at the PCYS Complex, 701 Badger Avenue, Stevens Point, WI.

  • Begin by using the link below to set up a Playmetrics account, complete the player information, then complete the Fall Rec League registration. You will receive a confirmation once your payment has been processed.

Summer Rec League Costs


Per-Player Fees:

  • Pre-K (2022 birthyear): $40
  • All other players: $70
  • Coaches receive a $50 waiver of the Player Fee as a thank-you for volunteering.

Family Club Fee

  • $50 per family (used for field maintenance).

Required Gear:

  • Shin guards, tall socks, and a water bottle. Soccer cleats are optional; regular sneakers work too.
  • Team Shirt: Provided on the first day.

Volunteer Requirements


PCYS relies on volunteers to keep the league running smoothly:

  • Coaching: Parents who coach receive training and $50 off a Player Fee
  • Concession Stand: Families (except coaches) volunteer for a 1.5–2-hour shift during the season.



Financial Assistance


  • Available: First-come, first-served
